Ilana Rosenberg, LCSW is a New York and New Jersey state licensed clinical social worker. Ilana received her Masters in Clinical Social Work at Yeshiva University, and her BA from Tufts University with a major in Child Development. Ilana has had over ten years of clinical experience at NYU Langone Medical Center. Ilana's approach to therapy is grounded in evidence-based treatments and techniques. Clients can expect therapy to be a collaborative and personalized process that accounts for each person’s unique experiences, strengths and circumstances. She has expertise in treating depression, anxiety, life transitions and relationship issues. Ilana specializes in young adults adjusting to new careers, navigating relationships, balancing family and friendships, and maintaining a sense of self. Ilana's unique approach is both collaborative and results driven, using a mix of CBT and narrative therapy..
Elyse Kupperman Chaifetz, Ph.D., Director, is a New York state licensed clinical psychologist. Dr. Kupperman received her doctorate degree in clinical psychology with a specialization in health psychology at Yeshiva University. Prior to starting her own private practice, Dr. Kupperman had previously worked in a group practice as well as a number of hospital settings including NYU Langone Medical Center, NYP/Weill Cornell Medical Center, Montefiore Medical Center, Downstate University, and the VA NY Harbor Healthcare System. Dr. Kupperman is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA) and the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT).
Laura Altman, LCSW is a skilled and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker who obtained her Master's in Social Work from Fordham University in New York City, after completing her undergraduate degree in Psychology at The University of Pennsylvania in 2009. With well over a decade of experience in various clinical and counseling settings, including outpatient substance abuse clinics, non-profit organizations, mental health clinics, and community-based organizations within the New York City public school system, Laura has worked with individuals from all walks of life.
Her training in psychodynamic, psychoanalytic psychotherapy, positive psychology, motivational interviewing, and behavioral therapies which enables her to tailor therapy to each individual's unique needs. Laura believes that a strong therapeutic alliance is the foundation for healing and growth, and her objective is to create a compassionate and safe space where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings freely. She is excited to be a part of Dr. Kupperman’s practice and work with individuals to identify their goals, amend undesirable behaviors, improve relationship patterns, and achieve greater self-acceptance. Laura firmly believes that therapy can help individuals unlock their full potential and lead their best lives.
Heather Menzer, LCSW is a licensed clinical social worker practicing in New York. She holds a Masters of Social Work and Post-Master's Certificate in Palliative and End-of-Life Care and is pursuing her Doctorate in Clinical Social Work from New York University's Silver School of Social Work. Heather specializes in palliative care and advance care planning. Heather has over 15 years of hospital social work experience working with patients with chronic and serious illness and at end-of-life. She also works with those dealing with grief, loss and bereavement, caregivers and healthcare professionals. Her experience includes a focus on older adults and she also has particular experience in supporting ill parents and guardians who have dependent children. Heather brings an empathetic and collaborative psychodynamic approach to her work with clients. Her practice is also trauma and sexual and gender diversity-informed.
